Our Editorial Policy

How ilyaCasino produces, reviews and fact-checks its casino content, and how we stay independent. 18+, T&Cs apply.

Last updated 16 July 2026

This policy explains how we research, write and check the content on ilyaCasino, and where our funding comes from. We publish it so readers can judge our work on the same terms we hold operators to.

How we produce content

Our reviews and guides are written by people who work in the iGaming industry, not by generalists filling a template. Editorial oversight sits with Elena Marsh, a senior iGaming analyst with nine years in the field, whose focus areas are bonus terms, payments and live casino. Every page carries a named byline and a role, so you always know who stands behind a recommendation.

When we describe how a feature works, we ground it in specifics. For a slot, that means naming the studio and the mechanic, for example Gates of Olympus from Pragmatic Play, which uses a pay-anywhere grid, tumbling wins and multiplier orbs. When we cover a game library, we reference the actual providers behind it, such as Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Evolution and NetEnt, rather than vague claims about “top software”.

How we review and fact-check

Each page is dated. The publish date and the last-reviewed date appear in the page metadata, and the reviewer byline tells you who signed off on the current version. When an operator changes its terms, its provider list or its banking options, we revise the affected page and update the last-reviewed date rather than leaving stale information in place.

We do not run first-hand play sessions unless our testing notes say we did, and for this operator we have no such notes. Where we cannot verify a claim ourselves, we say so and attribute it to the operator’s published data instead of implying hands-on experience we did not have.

How we handle bonus, RTP and licensing claims

Numbers carry weight in this industry, so we treat them carefully. Bonus percentages, wagering requirements, deposit limits, payout times and return-to-player figures are only stated when the operator publishes them, and we present them as the operator’s own figures. A stated RTP such as the 96.5% quoted for Gates of Olympus reflects the provider’s published theoretical return over a long run, not a promise about any single session.

Bonus and RTP figures change and often depend on conditions, so we attach a clear caveat: T&Cs apply, and you should verify the current terms on the operator’s own site before depositing. Licensing details are reproduced exactly as issued. This site’s content relates to operators licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority under licence MGA/XXX/XXXX; we quote such references verbatim and never paraphrase a licence number.

Corrections policy

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Readers can report an error to hello@luckythorne.example, and we review every report. When a correction is warranted, we amend the page, refresh the last-reviewed date and, where the change is material, note what was updated. We would rather correct a detail quickly than defend a mistake.

Advertising and independence

ilyaCasino is an independent affiliate. We may earn a commission when a reader signs up with an operator through our links, and that is how the site is funded. Commercial relationships never buy a better rating or a softer review: the team that writes and scores our content works separately from any commercial arrangement, and our editorial ratings are set on the same criteria for every operator, paid partner or not. Where a page contains affiliate links, we flag this through our affiliate disclosure. For more on our people and our approach, see our review methodology.
